Don’t brag to strangers. Word will soon get out about all the expensive items tucked away in your house.
Don’t rely on sunlight
Many homeowners think that they’re safe from a burglary in the day. It’s easier to spot someone robbing you in broad daylight, right?
Well, the main thing a burglar is nervous of is making noise. They can probably get in and out of your home without being seen fairly easy. The trick is doing it silently. So even in the day make sure that all precautions are taken.

Outsmart them
Many thieves don’t have the time (or the intelligence) to disable a security system installed on a property. And most of the time the thief won’t wear a mask or gloves like they do in the movies.
So, they can’t disable a CCTV camera and they probably won’t be wearing a mask… You can figure out what you need to do.

One place in the home that burglars don’t really bother with is the kitchen. Not only is it usually situated in the middle of the house, but there are so many drawers and cupboards to go through in there.

That’s why it’s such a great place to keep your safe or other valuable items! The first place a burglar will hit is usually the master bedroom. So don’t keep your goods in there.
Use your common sense
You’d be surprised at how many people don’t bother with this last tip, and it’s because of it that burglary thrives. Going on holiday? Give a neighbour your key and make them clean the property up and collect bills. Always make sure you lock the doors too. It’s a simple thing to forget!
